Tony Mundine of Australia, 160 pounds, the British Commonwealth middleweight champion, knocked out Lonnie Harris, 156, of Bakersfield, Calif.,  in the fifth round of a 10‐round bout tonight.

  • Four months earlier at the same venue, Mundine had knocked out Bunny Sterling to gain the  Commonwealth (British Empire) middleweight title. 
  • Last ever fight at Milton Tennis Courts, Brisbane: 8 December 1972:
  • Just 18 fights were staged at Milton Tennis Courts, the first on 12 Feb 1971, and the last on 08 Dec 1972.

  • 12 inch reel containing around 10 inches of spooled film, indicating around 800 ft of film, calculating a running time of 56-62 min.
  • This film appears to be in excellent order, and comes in a plastic canister embossed Australian Made. The film is currently spooled backwards (end out).
  • Note that the film has not been viewed its entirety recently but has been identified on the canister as "Boxing Middleweight Mundine vs Harris" as above, and is being offered on the good-faith but unverified basis that it is the film as described above.
